A commissioned documentary film on the work of Equity In The Center
ROLE | CREATOR
Set at Equity In The Center's board retreat, less than two months after the 2025 presidential inauguration and the signing of Executive Order 14173 targeting nonprofits doing DEI work, this documentary asks the questions: how did the EIC board support its Black woman leader, and how can we bring about equity in these times?

ROLE | CREATOR
Meet Saphia, a young bell hooks fanatic trying desperately to build a good life in New York City, a place famous for making life unlivable for anyone but the uber wealthy. Constantly immersed in the latest idea she has discovered while reading hooks, Saphia is determined to figure out how to apply these liberatory ideals to her own life. But the one thing she doesn't account for is a little surprise encouragement from the legend herself.

In this microfilm series from Edge Studios, I propose three tenets for people of color in the nonprofit sector. In the first microfilm installment, an overstepping funder is tried in a reparations and restoration trial. In the second, a group of friends discusses how people of color are raising the standard. In the final microfilm, a young production assistant is met with the unlikeliest of workplace environments: a space committed to a culture of generosity.
